Titanium Case
The titanium used in the MR-G case and band is exceptionally scratch resistant. The titanium is heated in a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen gas used to create a 20-30µm hard layer on the material's outer surface. Unlike a film, it makes the actual material itself harder than pure titanium.
99% Translucence
the MR-G, using a super hard sapphire crystal in its watch crystal, is highly scratch resistant, making for a long and enjoyable user experience. Applying a non-reflective coating brings about an even higher degree of clarity. Even in strong sunlight you can read the time immediately without worrying about reflection.
Majestic Presence
Lightweight and comfortable to the touch, it is a suitable material for a watch. Putting on the finish, however, did present a real challenge. It was one of the special techniques of our skillful master craftsmen, using titanium materials, that overcame this obstacle to produce an astonishingly clear polished finish.
