Shawn Gonzales, creator and mastermind of the successful MIDNIGHT STUDIOS, is making his mark by designing "by the youth, for the youth."

Gonzales' aesthetic of tough anarchy with easy-to-wear designs was the match to G-SHOCK's MUDMASTER GG-1000. Both tough and built to last, the first MIDNIGHT STUDIOS x G-SHOCK collaboration was launched earlier this month at a special pop-up shop at RONROBINSON LA. The limited edition MUDMASTER was built to brace the future of fashion, and Gonzales was on-site to champion the custom, co-branded metal clasp that fuses the MUDMASTER's trusted toughness against the elements with MIDNIGHT STUDIOS' refreshing punk edge.

Says Gonzales of the collaboration: "The approach to the collaboration was simply taking a popular G-SHOCK watch and presenting it in a new way that was relevant to MIDNIGHT STUDIOS. We did this by packaging the watch in a record sleeve along with a matching t-shirt and tote bag. The watch was a good start to a possible ongoing G-SHOCK/MIDNIGHT STUDIOS collaboration."
